The shape balances ease and structure, straight through the hip and generous through the leg, resulting in a silhouette that feels elegant, assured, and quietly flattering.
Crafted from premium Japanese denim woven in Fukuyama, Hiroshima, the fabric reflects a meticulous approach to durability and finish. Composed of 100% cotton, it begins with a defined hand and gradually softens with wear, developing depth, character, and a subtle patina over time. The denim carries a lived-in quality without losing clarity, allowing the jeans to combine the ease of everyday wear with the refinement of careful tailoring.
As with all artisanal denim, subtle variations in wash and dye are a natural characteristic of each piece, and part of what makes it yours.

THE WASH LOOKS VERY NATURAL
The colour is so well done - subtle, not streaky, and it gives the denim that lived-in, vintage feel.

Size up
I'm 5ft 4 (waist 25.2", hips 36.6") and tried the Carnaby jeans in a UK 8. They sit nicely at the waist without pinching and the full length just reaches the floor on me, which gives that long, clean line. The denim is structured and holds its shape even though there's no stretch, so the look stays sharp through the day. Compared with Putney in the same size, Carnaby feels easier at the waist, and compared with Gresham it's a touch more polished and less slouchy. For me, UK 8 is a true-to-size, comfortable fit.
