Madeleine Cardigan is crafted from a considered blend of mohair and alpaca, fibres valued for their warmth, structure, and distinctive texture. The knit offers a light natural halo and an airy presence while maintaining shape over time. Cut in an easy, oversized silhouette inspired by Parisian knitwear, it can be worn buttoned for a composed look or open for relaxed ease.

Mohair and alpaca are expressive fibres with a naturally tactile feel. Many prefer to wear this piece with a light layer beneath, such as silk or cotton. Some initial shedding is a natural characteristic and will settle with wear.

Amazing Style, Quality and Value!

I have bought the Versailles top in 2 colours and now the Madeleine cardigan and can't get enough of Palome products! They are made beautifully and fit perfectly and cost a fraction of other similar items. I look forward to each new drop as I know there will be something else I want to buy. Beautiful cardigan!

I love the pink shade of this cardigan! The fabric covered buttons are such a lovely touch and I’ve found it so versatile in my wardrobe already. Looking forward to wearing it throughout Autumn & Winter. The fabric isn’t itchy, it fits true to size with a lovely relaxed fit. I’ve also worn it as a jumper with the buttons at the back.

Nice cardi

I am glad they are finally releasing this in more colors! I bought the red in size 6. It looks really chic and I love the buttons (I personally love the buttons more than a similar cardi from a known French brand). Having said that, the red color is very bright and orangey. I thought it was more of a true red.

Classic & Cozy

Palome has risen to the top of my favorite places to shop for elevated basics, with this piece being one that I know I will reach for again and again. It’s beautifully made, chic, and cozy. Pretty in pink

A pretty, relaxed cardigan with lovely buttons. It's lightweight but really warm. Some people might not like the scratchy feel - it isn't smooth like cashmere - and I prefer to wear a T shirt underneath. But it is a great addition to my casual wardrobe.

Love it!

Excellent all round! Used to paying double or more for equivalent, so felt a real bargain. Love the bright red colour, every detail perfect. The style is a little looser than expected for a size 10 but looks good on. Was a little worried it might be itchy on but it was fine to wear all day. Ordered it on Monday and the box was here in Ireland on Wednesday. This was my first time buying from Palome and I’ll definitely be back!

Lovely piece

Beautiful cardigan with a couple of quirks worth noting

I received this as a gift from my husband. It's a beautifully made cardigan, clearly high quality, and looks great. Originally we got a size 10 which fit fine in the body but was very short in the arms, sitting an inch or two above my wrists (and I'm not especially tall, 5'6", nor do I have particularly long arms). Having sized up to a 12, it now fits fine in the arms, but does not naturally have the over-the-hands look you see in the model pictures, which is my preferred style - so that's worth knowing. I think it's also worth noting that (for me, at least) the fabric is a bit itchy on bare skin, and the button holes are tiny, which looks nice but does make the buttons very difficult to undo! That doesn't take away from it being a lovely piece of clothing and one I will wear often - but worth future purchasers being aware.

I bought this in a size 8 in cornflower blue (I am size 8-10). It's a really lovely knit. I have a very similar knit from a well known French brand and I like this one just as much, especially the colour. It may be slightly itchier but still very wearable. I'm impressed with my first order and have now ordered it in the golden moss.

Lovely, warm and has great shape

Lovely piece of clothing, sits lovely on the body and gives this effortless look. I’m 5’3 and got size 6, it has a very nice relaxed silhouette and looks just ideal. Got the black one but will definitely get it in other colours if there will be more. Great addition to a timeless wardrobe!

Handy black cardigan

I actually returned this as the shape didn’t quite suit me - maybe because I went for a size 10 instead of 8. I think personal preference though as it is a nice piece. The material was a tiny bit scratchy for me. I do think I’d have kept it in a smaller size though as it would soften!

A beauty

A slightly darker pink than I expected but still a lovely colour that goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. My sensitive skin finds it a little itchy so I can't wear it without something underneath. The length and cut are perfect, the fit slightly oversized as others have said. I love it's relaxed elegance.

Great quality, grown-up cardigan

Soft, fuzzy and not itchy. I'm glad I didn't size down on this despite the reviews. I'm a true 12 and the cardigan is only ever so slightly oversized. If you don't have skinny arms or are in between the measurements provided, I recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit.

Unbelievable quality for price

I found this store via an ad. Initially a little suspect because the quality vs cost was such good value, but thought I’d give it ago. Anyway, this product is brilliant. Size down if you want a tighter fit, but I have a similar version from a well known French retailer and honestly, aside from the label can’t tell the difference. 100% will be buying from here again.

Gorgeous but a bit roomy

Really soft and comfortable, and lovely quality - I love the finish on the seams and fastenings. I find it a little roomy around the neck and shoulders, and might opt to size down for knitwear in future, but very happy with item. And what a colour! I find it so hard to find the colours I suit (pale pastels). Everything seems to be brights & primary colours, so it’s lovely to find a brand that offers timeless neutrals and softer shades.

Lovely but I wish it was 100% natural fibre

The colour is beautiful and the fit is just right, but I should have looked more carefully at composition (my mistake). I’m trying to avoid synthetic knots so it’s a real shame this has so much nylon in the mix.
