Our Sustainability Commitment

When I studied at Duperré in Paris and Central Saint Martins in London, I dreamed of creating a truly sustainable fashion brand—one built on timeless design and exceptional quality.

For fifteen years, I designed for luxury houses, where we used the finest materials and the best ateliers. The clothes were made to last, but their price meant few could ever own them.
With Palome, I found a new way. Many of these same makers had beautiful leftover fabrics and time between collections. I began creating pieces with these materials—at first just for friends. When strangers began asking to buy them, Palome was born.

Today, that’s still our model: elegant, small-batch collections crafted during quiet moments in luxury factories. We use the same premium materials, made by the same expert hands—but at prices my friends can afford.

Our promise is simple: to make thoughtfully crafted clothes that last. If you choose to wear Palome, we ask just three things in return:

1. Only buy what you need

We release new capsules every two weeks. Because of our small batch productions and low prices, many of these products quickly sell out. Please only buy products that you know you will wear - if you aren't sure, leave them for others to buy.

2. Aim for zero returns

Returning clothes causes incredible waste. Keeping our prices low and our material quality high is only possible because our members return clothing at less than a quarter of the rate of most brands. If you buy something that isn't quite the right size, please consider gifting it to a friend. When you're done with an item you'll find that our resale prices are very strong. Each month, those with a 0% return rate are entered into a prize draw for a dinner. At the end of the year, all those who've maintained their 0% return rate can claim an exclusive thank you gift.

3. Tell your friends

We spend much less money on marketing than other brands. Instead, we spend this money on keeping our material quality very high. If we make a product that you fall in love with please help us out by telling a friend about it.

Thank you for your support in our journey.

PALOME SUSTAINABILITY PRINCIPLES

We focus on working with the world's best makers whenever they're not too busy. The products in our drops are often shaped around any excess premium materials they have available. We currently work to the below five core sustainability principles:

sanity-media

1. Material quality:

  • Our clothes should last longer because our material quality to value pricing is unmatched.
  • More than 50% of the materials used in all our collections are organic or recycled.
  • Whenever available, we work with premium cashmere, Mulberry silk, organic cotton, certified materials and vegetable-tanned leather.
  • More than 50% of the wool we use is recycled or RWS certified and 100% mulesing-free.

2. Premium Factories and Certification

We only partner with factories who have a commitment to responsible production. This means paying workers fairly and doing their best to produce in a way that reduces damage to the environment.

  • All our manufacturing partners are certified by the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP).
  • We are open to working with premium SMETA, ICS or WCA certified partners.

3. Packaging
Our labels and packaging are made from recycled materials or derived from sustainably-sourced forests.

4. Always Small Batches / Always Fair Prices
We focus on drops that use premium excess materials available in partner factories. We avoid over-production by only producing in small batches during factory down-time. We avoid discounting - the prices you see are the best we can possibly make them.

5. Timeless Designs
We don't believe in fast fashion, we believe in shaping the perfect wardrobe. Our focus is on shaping designs that are timeless.
